GCI, the training affiliate to Associated Builders and Contractors (
ABC), is proud to offer CONTREN craft training; standardized training programs for the construction and maintenance industry. For more than a decade, CONTREN has been a leader in construction training. Now, CONTREN has advanced to a higher plateau with the introduction of a nationally standardized curriculum. Through GCI, trainees can now tap into a national network of certified craft instructors committed to excellence. Successful trainees can be accredited and entered into the National Center for Construction Education and Research Registry.

Licensed: Fully licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education - Office of Proprietary Schools.
Accreditation: Accredited by the National Center For Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
Approvals: The Gould Construction Institute is approved by the following: National Bureau of Apprenticeship Training, Board of Massachusetts Electrical Examiners, Department of Public Safety and the Board of State of Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters.
Instruction: Provided by State certified trade instructors and industry professionals.
Registered Apprentices: Companies and employees may participate in state approved apprenticeship programs and utilize GCI courses to fulfill related instruction requirements. Firms seeking to train apprentices in courses not listed in this catalog may contact GCI. In the event a specific trade program is not offered in your area, the staff will assist in the development of a state approved in-house training program.
