NCCER Curriculum Provides:

• Standardized construction and maintenance curriculum
• Assessments with portable credentials
• The NCCER Registry System, which tracks and manages credentials securely

Mission:

The mission of the Gould Construction Institute (GCI) is to provide high-quality training that prepares individuals for gainful employment and long term-opportunities in the construction industry.

Licensed:

Fully licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Occupational Licensure / Office of Private Occupational School Education.

Approvals:

The Gould Construction Institute is approved by the following: National Bureau of Apprenticeship Training; Board of Massachusetts Electrical Examiners; Department of Public Safety; the Board of State of Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters; Bureau of Pipefitters, Refrigeration Technicians and Sprinklerfitters and the Board of Examiners of Sheet Metal Workers.

Instruction:

Provided by State certified trade instructors and industry professionals.

Registered Apprentices:

• Companies and employees may participate in state approved apprenticeship programs and utilize GCI courses to fulfill related instruction requirements.
• Firms seeking to train apprentices in courses not listed in this catalog may contact GCI. In the event a specific trade program is not offered in your area, the staff will assist in the development of a state approved in-house training program.
• Standards of apprenticeship approved by the Department of Labor & Industries currently include the following trades: Bricklayer / Cement Mason, Carpentry, Concrete Finishing, Construction Craft Laborer, Electrical, Glazing, Heavy Equipment, HVAC, Insulation, Ironworking, Masonry, Painting, Pile Driving.
